It was founded in 1985 by Teodoro Vera Gómez as an instructor and more than 30 people, including adults and children, were part of it. The purpose of this group is to preserve and promote folk and popular music. The instruments that he has been using are string and percussion.
He has made several important outings outside our Region, the first took place in 1987, visiting the city of Santiago de Compostela and singing an orchard mass in the Cathedral.
In November 1994, and on the occasion of the international year of the family, an excursion to Italy was organized and we attended an audience that Pope John Paul II had granted us and that took place in the Nervi room in the city of Rome.
There we were able to see two emblematic people, Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa of Calcutta who also attended that audience. This trip for us is the most important that the group has done.
